Open Source BPM
Following on to the Open Source and BI question, what's available in the BPM space? Not as much as the BI space, that's for sure.
Among the few items on my list are jBPM, which joined with JBoss to transform into JBoss jBPM, sort of like the green and red mega men join to become ultra mega-mega man. Apache Agila is another BPM project. Gluecode had Open Source portal software, but with IBM taking them over it's not clear what's going to happen with anything.
Here's a comprehensive list of Open Source workflow products, which make up a part of an overall BPM solution.
I think it's going to be a while until there's true BPM software available as Open Source. The standards are there or coming, and this will help any Open Source efforts out there in this space.
